Favona

The Favona area is generally flat and low lying, with a coastal edge along the Manukau Harbour. Tararata Creek is on the western side of the Favona area and Harania Creek is to its east. Favona will therefore have a range of climate change issues in the future. State Highway 20 divides Favona from other parts of Māngere.

Favona is mainly residential but includes some industrial land in its north. Planning provisions provide for significantly more housing. The main local shops in the Favona area are at the intersection of Robertson Road and Hall Avenue and we want to know how important this centre is to the local community.
